Indie force of nature Everything Everything are set to headline an all day party in London this month, hosted by Chicago brewer Goose Island. The one day event held at Shoreditch’s RED Market on September 24th will bring the spirit of Chicago to East London, giving beer lovers a line up of dynamic bands, local street food and the chance to try some of Goose Island’s award-winning beverages, alongside some rare tappings courtesy of a ‘Vintage Tap Room’.
Fresh from a hugely successful run of festival dates, including an awe-inspiring performance at Leefest in Kent, Everything Everything will bring their sublime, genre-defying show to the evening. As they close the 'Get To Heaven' era, it will be a final opportunity to catch the group live before they head off to work on their fourth LP. In the meantime, they've debuted a new single - check out 'I Believe It Now', a simmering pop number clinched together with Jonathan Higgs' unmistakeable vocal.
Joining them will be Vapour Trail favourites Black Honey, whose debut 'Headspin' EP made shockwaves on the indie scene upon its release this April. After an equally storming festival season that saw them rock stages across the UK and abroad, their savage live show has never been more primed for action. Mix in their effortless style and infectious likeability, and they'll be right at home amidst the brickwork and the boozing of East London. Read our interview with the band from before summer, where they talk Wes Anderson, harmonica steampunks and other things not to do with promoting their music.
Little White Things complete the musical entertainment. A self described 'dizzy pop band', the London based duo make blissful, ambient pop that will provide the perfect soundtrack to an evening of outdoor merrymaking, bringing back a little summer magic before autumn sets in.
In terms of catering, expect to be spoilt for choice. Street food vendors will be on hand to tickle the taste buds of Block Party goers with a host of food and beer pairing dishes. Howard’s Meat Co. will be bringing fried fish and chips. Club Mexicana will be serving up ‘crazy-good’ vegan tacos bursting with authentic, wood-smoked meats to feast on, whilst Hackney based Sutton & Sons will be providing the very finest deep spices that pair perfectly with the citrusy 312 Urban Wheat Ale. Plus Little Ghost Bagels will be going back to black with their signature, Asian fusion, squid ink bagels.
Tickets for Goose Island LDN Block Party are on sale now from Eventbrite for £10. Please note, this event is Strictly 18+
