Eight minutes is a lotta time to fill if you're a three piece alt-rock band who deal primarily in fast-paced three minute nuggets of thrashy garage. But on House On Fire, TRAAMS have really blossomed into a great band.
The track starts off with a scampering bassline that starts off at a galloping pace that really doesn't let up as the track develops. Primal and raw, feedback squalls, puppy dog yelps and increasingly frantic drumming mean that the band keep up the same dogged momentum throughout the entire runtime. Full of searing ambition and an unwillingness to lay down, this is one of the most ambitious guitar tracks of the year, and undoubtedly the band's most ambitious work to date... hear it below
