Win Tickets to X-Posure Live This Weekend!

Returning this Saturday January 28th at the new location of Omeara, London, Radio X's legendary X-Posure Live all-dayer is bursting with the most interesting new talent on the indie music scene. We've got a pair of tickets to give away - all you have to do is follow us on Twitter, and retweet this post!

Mancunian favourites Spring King head up the bill. Tarek and company had a hugely successful 2016; besides releasing 'Tell Me If You Like To', their frenetic debut album, they toured far and wide polishing up one of the most energetic live shows you can catch today.

They'll be joined by a handful of awesome new artists spanning a range of genres. From London, Girl Ray's fuzzy numbers are melodious and sweet, no more so than Trouble, a blissful number with Britpop undertones. Their debut album is slated for a spring release via Moshi Moshi Records.

Idles are angsty and visceral, delivering a powerful post-punk statement with every track they release. Come June they'll take to the Ally Pally stage as opening support for The Maccabees' final shows - get on the bandwagon before then.

For a jaunty indie-pop fix, look no further than Francobollo. The quartet's 'Wonderful EP' oozes with psychedelic goodness, often jumping from mellow haziness to all out rock-and-roll vigor without a second's notice.

Another new act getting looking very promising for the new year is Scarlet Rascal. Their fuzzy tinted first album landed late last year and dates with Super Furry Animals followed. 2017 looks set to bring even bigger things for this up and coming alt outfit.

Elsewhere during the day there'll be sets from pop newcomer Laurel, electro dreamers Throws, Wovoka Gentle, an arty London-based trio, Dead Pretties who've received praise from the likes of DIY Magazine, and Hoo Has, who hit the road with Mystery Jets at the end of 2016.

X-Posure Live has a strong reputation for booking a variety of future stars including Biffy Clyro, Wolf Alice, The xx, Kate Nash, Bloc Party, and many more. Catch John's X-Posure show on Radio X, Monday to Thursday 10pm - 1am.

Whatever your taste, it promises to be an eclectic and vibrant day of new music to rejuvenate your taste for the new year.
