Strong Island Recordings Announce Beach Ball - A Must See Summer Psych Out

Summer sees the inaugural Strong Islands Records Beach Ball, an event in aid of MacMillan that'll take place at Coastguard Studio in Southsea. It'll feature a lot of our favourites, DJs and a whole fucking record fair. Chase those (probably inevitable) post-election blues away with it.
Headlined by our #1 favourites Melt Dunes, a four-piece whose blending of satanic psychedelia and krautrock that drives it into the never-never make them one of the premier live bands in this world or any other. As well as that, comes the full throttle reptilian garage rock clang of Strange Cages, a Brighton band responsible for some scintillating live bangers, and Portsmouth's own hardcore heads Horseflies.

As well as that comes the demented Monks-esque garage rock pummel of Hotel Lux (who we put on at our first ever gig), the visceral two-piece attack of Frauds and the spaced out assault of You're Smiling Now But We'll Turn Into Demons.

Joining them are tons more, including new underground super group Grief Daddy, glam-stomp three piece Tomzack and the excellently named Ban Summers.

Tickets are a fiver if you get them now (fucking bargain),  so see ya in the pit.
